You probably have a GeForce based graphics card in connection with an AMD Athlon/Duron processor. Updating the graphics driver to the latest version will solve the problem. Please refer to How do I update my GeForce graphics driver?.
º Everything works fine, but sometimes I get some kind of tearing effects on the animations or trails on the cursor and animations. What can I do?
Sometimes the background of a scene was not redrawn correctly in older versions of the game. Moving animations would leave the old frames visible which looked like a tearing effect.
Downloading and applying Gilbert Goodmate Update v1.03 should fix this problem!
º How do I update my GeForce graphics driver?
The driver shipped together with the graphics card is in most cases out of date. Drivers downloaded directly from the card manufacturer might also be outdated.
We recommend you download the latest GeForce driver for your Windows version directly from the GeForce chip manufacturer nVidia. The current official version is the Detonator3 V12.41 which can be downloaded at http://www.nvidia.com.
But any driver version above V7.58 should work fine – we found problems only with systems using older drivers than V7.58.
º All the sound effects, character speech and the music have some annoying distortions. Is this normal?
No, this is not normal! You might want to try and update your sound card drivers to the latest version. If this does not solve your problem, please enter the games options screen and disable the option “High quality sound”. You have to restart the game to apply this change.
